The city is facing more than a half billion dollars in lawsuits from the two deadly crane crashes earlier this year.
The city comptroller's office confirmed Monday that more than 30 notices of claim have been filed related to the May 30th collapse on East 91st Street.
That figure includes a $75 million claim filed by the estate of one of the two construction workers killed in the accident. The family of the other victim filed a wrongful death claim for $20 million.
The amounts are set by lawyers for the victims and have little bearing on the actual outcome of the cases. The deadline for filing a claim was Friday.
The city is already facing lawsuits from the March 15th collapse on East 51st Street that killed seven people.
