"Harlem Day" will take place tomorrow, capping off a month of events promoting health among neighborhood residents.

One scheduled Saturday event was an aquatic musical performed by The Harlem Honeys and Bears Swim Team, a Harlem-based synchronized swimming group.

"I did the play to commemorate Harlem, also to tie it in to the Harlem Week celebration," said a swimmer. "So that our children will know what Harlem is really about. We want that self-esteem for our kids. We want them to swim more, we want them to do more. We want them to participate in community and build this community."

There will be other activities like races, live jazz and gospel concerts, a health fair and a children's festival.
