Aaron Stephens, a construction worker who was killed in last weekend's crane accident in Midtown, was laid to rest in Brooklyn Monday.
Stephens was one of seven people killed when the crane collapsed, damaging several buildings and crushing a townhouse.
Meanwhile, the city is following through with a plan to inspect construction sites where cranes are used following the deadly crane collapse.
The Port Authority says it will take inspections at the World Trade Center site even further.
The P.A.-owned site is exempt from city building and fire regulations. However, the agency says it will have its cranes checked by the New York City Fire and Buildings Departments, as well as its own safety officials and inspectors for the contractors at the site.
The Port Authority says these inspections were planned before the collapse in Turtle Bay.
