A man is under arrest for a shooting at a Bronx sports bar that left one man dead and another seriously injured.

Luis Paulino of the Bronx has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and criminal possession of a weapon.

He is accused of shooting two men shortly after midnight Monday at the Oasis Cafe on Jerome Avenue in Norwood.

Police say Paulino was one of two men that got into an argument. After the argument Paulino allegedly left the bar and returned with a gun, opening fire at the location and hitting the two victims, who police say were not involved in the original argument.

Manuel Saico, 25, was shot in the chest and pronounced dead at the hospital. The other man, whose name has not been released, was shot in the torso and is listed in serious condition.

Paulino fled the scene.

Residents said they were not surprised something like this could happen in their neighborhood.

"I'm nervous, of course nervous, because before we had something happen here, so many times something happened over there," said one local resident. "I feel bad. I'm scared, always scared."

"It's not this area here, it's the other side of the area, the Norwood section. It's not really over here, it's the other side," said another. "I'm not surprised, but in this area, along this strip, yes."

The sports bar has re-opened for business.
