The teenaged mother of the baby abandoned in a livery cab last week is going back to Baltimore.

Officials from the Maryland Department of Social Services say the 14-year-old is a runaway from the Baltimore area. It's still unclear whether she will be heading home with her six-month-old baby.

Both mother and child are currently in the custody of the city's Administration for Children's Services.

Baby Daniella was brought to a fire house in Queens last Thursday by a livery cab driver who told police the child had been left in his cab by an unidentified man.

After being hailed a hero, driver Klever Sailema, later admitted that he and the baby's aunt planned the firehouse dropoff with the father of the child. They say they were just trying to get the baby to a safe haven.

Sailema and the baby's aunt have been arrested.

Officials are still looking for the baby's 27-year-old father who has been identified as Carlos Rodas.
