A Bronx teenager was arraigned on murder charges Tuesday in the death of his three-month-old daughter.
The Bronx District Attorney says 17-year-old Stephen Morales repeatedly threw his daughter on the crib face down, pressing her head onto the mattress.
The DA says Morales also repeatedly hit the baby before wrapping her up in a blanket and suffocating her.
The infant's mother found her unconscious and then called police and began performing CPR.
The baby was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Morales is also charged with manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide.
