Police say some teens could be to blame for intentionally starting a fire in the Bronx, and now investigators are asking for the public’s help in finding them.
They say the teens, shown in the above surveillance photo, are wanted in connection with a fire at the Cuba Mattress Store on Jerome Avenue. It happened in Mount Hope on the morning of May 13th.
The fire spread to nearby stores, including a tire shop, auto repair store, and restaurant. According to sources, one witness reported seeing two boys throw some sort of accelerant into the building. No one was injured.
Investigators believe the teens are also behind a fire at an auto repair store and dozens of car vandalizations in the neighborhood.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
