A construction worker died after falling several stories into a construction machine this morning at a work site in the Bronx.

It happened this just before 9 a.m. in Concourse Village.

Police say the 47-year-old man died at Lincoln hospital from his injuries. Fire officials say the man fell about thirty feet and was trapped inside a machine at a construction site at 149th Street and River Avenue.

Rescue crews used a crane to lift him out of it.

Police are investigating the circumstances behind the incident.
