A Brooklyn man won the coveted crown Tuesday at the Borough Park Adult Day Care dreidel spinning contest.
The Russian-speaking winner, Alexsindr Goffermn says he owes all his success to his faith, his rabbi, and a little practice.
"He plays every year,” Goffermn said through a translator. “He knows this game from his childhood."
Spinning the four-sided dreidel is one of the many traditions of
hannukah. Candy or small prizes are usually given out as prizes.
