Governor Andrew Cuomo says the state is close to getting a $1.5 billion loan to help build a new Tappan Zee bridge.
If the loan goes through, Cuomo says it will help keep toll prices down, thanks to low interest rates.
The new Tappan Zee Bridge is expected to cost close to $4 billion, and one estimate put the future toll at $14.
The current toll is $5.
The governor says the state is looking at other options to keep the toll affordable.
