The government will continue to foot the bill for Hurricane Sandy survivors who are staying in hotels, as the Federal Emergency Management Agency is once again extending its Transitional Sheltering Assistance program.
The new checkout date for those forced to stay in hotels is March 24.
FEMA officials said the 14-day extension was requested by the state.
