City education officials say three Bronx High School of Science athletes accused of brutally hazing a fellow classmate have been removed from the school.

17-year-old Pier Berkmans and 16-year-olds Thomas Brady and Boubacar Diallo are all charged with assaulting a freshman member of their Bronx Science track team several times since December.

Some of the incidents involved assaults and threats of a sexual nature.

The three accused students are still receiving instruction off-campus while officials work on determining proper disciplinary measures.

"When we talk about the ultimate punishment, they were arrested and they’re not in their school," said Schools Chancellor Dennis Walcott. "If it’s considered a suspension, I don’t think we've decided yet whether it will be a principal suspension. They've been removed from the main school site, but they are receiving learning."

The school's principal also suspended the athletic director and the two track coaches from their coaching duties, but they're still teaching and collecting salaries.
