NY1 VIDEO: Families in the Rockaways who were hit hard by Hurricane Sandy are now keep getting a little help from the Diocese of Brooklyn to keep their children in Catholic school. Monsignor Jamie Gigantiello helped start the Super Storm Sandy Educational Relief Fund, which has raised more than $1 million through a benefit concert and donations for about 500 Catholic school students.
