A Bronx father is being held on $100,000 bail after police say his 5-year-old son accidentally shot himself in the arm.

Denny Pantoja Sr. was arraigned Saturday night on charges of weapons possession and endangering the welfare of a child.

Authorities say Denny Pantoja Jr. accidentally shot himself Friday inside their apartment at the St. Mary's Park Houses in Morrisania.

Police say Pantoja Sr. stashed the gun in a car before he took the wounded boy to the hospital.

Sources say Pantoja Sr. first told police that his son had been shot in a robbery, but later admitted he heard the gun go off inside his home.

The boy is recovering at Lincoln Hospital.
