Residents of the Windsor Terrace section of Brooklyn have demanded a supermarket and word spread Thursday that they are getting one.

This past summer, NY1 reported about residents protesting the opening of a Walgreens pharmacy on Prospect Avenue, after a Key Food shut down, leaving the area without a supermarket.

On Thursday, Walgreens officials announced they are teaming up with Key Food to open a full-service grocery store and pharmacy that will open in the fall.

Plans for the arrangement will be discussed at a Thursday night town hall meeting.
