Investigators are looking into a deadly Friday fire in a Bronx apartment building.
Fire officials say they arrived at the building on Bainbridge Avenue a little before 7:30 a.m. Friday.
The flames broke out on the fifth floor and killed one person.
No information was released about the victim, but witnesses say a woman lived in the apartment.
"It was kind of scary because I got a phone call," said one neighbor. "One of my family members who works at the fire department let me know that there was a situation happening in my building, and I was already off to work, so I ran over here and it just happened to be neighbor who, you know, unfortunately passed away."
Authorities say the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
