Police have arrested the mother of a 7-year-old boy who they say brought a gun to a Queens school Thursday.

Deborah Farley, 53, faces charges of criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.

Police say the second grader at Wave Preparatory Elementary School in Far Rockaway had a .22 caliber handgun and bullets in his bookbag.

Investigators say it's unclear if the boy knew the gun was in his backpack.

The incident forced a lockdown at the school.

Police say the boy also brought a flare gun to school which was discovered in a friend's bag.
