The city medical examiner's office has determined a woman found dead in SoHo after a fire Thursday night died of smoke inhalation and burns, but by Sunday she had still not been identified.

Police say the woman was killed when Wei Chu Wu set fire to his apartment building on Spring Street and then tried to keep first responders from getting inside.

He was arraigned Saturday on murder, assault and arson charges.

Witnesses say Wu set the fire after getting into a fight with his wife.

Wu's wife made it out alive with their child.
