A Bronx man was charged with murder after police say he stabbed another man to death and started a fire in Fordham Heights on Saturday morning.

Authorities say Leo Huggins, 48, stabbed Gregory Evans, 56, and then set the fire at 2247 Webster Avenue around 6 a.m.

When firefighters put out the flames about a half-hour later, they found Evans with stab wounds to the neck and burns to his body. He was pronounced dead at Saint Barnabas Hospital.

By Sunday, police did not know how the two men knew each other, and the motive for the killing remained unknown.

Huggins is facing charges of first- and second-degree murder, arson and burglary.
