A New Jersey man is being held without bail for his role in an alleged plot to kidnap, rape, kill and eat a woman.

A federal judge ordered Michael Vanhise held saying he's "a danger to the community."

He was arrested last week.

Prosecutors say Vanhise agreed to pay New York City Police Officer Gilberto Valle $5,000 as part of a plan to abduct a woman.

Valle's attorney had argued it was all just fantasy and that no women were harmed.

Valle is due back in court on January 15.
