Funeral arrangements are set for the two upstate volunteer firefighters shot to death when they were lured into a trap on Monday.

Michael Chiapperini will be laid to rest following a service on Sunday.

The funeral mass for Tomasz Kaczowka will be Monday in Rochester.

Authorities say William Spengler, 62, set fire to a house and car in the city of Webster, and started shooting at responders once they arrived.

Two firefighters remain in the hospital.

Police also say human remains found in the gunman's charred home are believed to be those of his sister.

Cheryl Spengler, 67, had been unaccounted for since the incident.

The gun the shooter used is also the same type of weapon used by the Connecticut school shooter.

Spengler wasn't legally allowed to own firearms because of his conviction for killing his grandmother in 1980.

The gunman was found dead after shooting himself in the head.

Authorities say he left a note, detailing his plans to burn parts of the neighborhood and "do what I like doing best, killing people."
