Pedestrian Killed By Mini Bus While Crossing Brooklyn Street

A man is dead after being hit by a mini bus while crossing a street in Brooklyn Tuesday morning.
It happened at the corner of Ocean Parkway and Kings Highway in Midwood.
Police said a man driving a mini bus was trying to turn left onto Ocean Parkway when he struck a 78-year-old man in the crosswalk.
He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses said the man was hit by one of the bus's side view mirrors.
"6:30 this morning, I'm sleeping, and I hear somebody screaming 'Oh my God, Oh my God,'" said one witness. "I come downstairs and there's an old man laying on the floor, bleeding from the side of his face."
Police say no criminality is suspected, but the investigation is ongoing.
