The Queens Borough President's office launched a Mobile Disaster Relief Center for Sandy victims.

The center is a "CUNY on Wheels" bus serving as a one-stop-shop for residents and businesses still dealing with the effects of Hurricane Sandy in the Rockaways.

A representative from the borough president's office, a CUNY admissions counselor, and lawyers were on board the bus Saturday giving free legal assistance.

"We do have individuals who come in and ask about FEMA denials, and the process of how to handle FEMA denials, and just to get information on services that are available to them whether it be CUNY or in response to Hurricane Sandy," said Melva Miller from the borough president's office.

The mobile disaster relief center will also be parked at the Hammel Houses in Rockaway Beach next Saturday from 10 p.m. to 4 p.m.
