The New York City Department of Finance has created an online form that allows New Yorkers to list damage caused Hurricane Sandy that could impact their property's value.

That includes structural problems, water damage, broken boilers and damage to elevators or air conditioners.

The department needs the information as it estimates property values for its next tentative assessment roll, which will be released next month.

For more information, call 311 or go to nyc.gov/finance.
