A group of beer brewers is holding a benefit for Staten Island University Hospital employees affected by Sandy.

Sean Torres, president of the brewing club "Pour Standards" and a hospital employee said when he saw his coworkers working to help others after losing their own homes, he decided he wanted to get involved.

The "Pour to Restore" fundraiser will showcase beers from all over the city.

The event will take place on Dec. 23 at 120 Bay Cafe.

"Being an SIUH employee I got to see firsthand all the distress and the emotional suffering of a lot of the employees," Torres said.

"The hospital has had over 250 employees that were affected by Hurricane Sandy, with 50 of them losing their homes," said Christian Preston from SIUH. "So events like this are really important for our employee relief fund."
