Some airline carriers are helping out customers forced to reschedule after a shortened winter school break due to Sandy.

City schools will be open Feb. 20 through Feb. 22 to make up for lost days during the storm.

Students originally had that entire week off.

If you planned a vacation during those days JetBlue and Delta Airlines said they will help you change your flight for free.

JetBlue said those who scheduled a flight out of a New York metropolitan airport between
Feb. 15 and Feb. 24 can rebook at no charge.

Sen. Charles Schumer said Delta Airlines will offer similar rebooking options.

Schumer is also reaching out to other airlines and cruise lines urging them to do the same.

You should contact your flight provider for more details.
