Police on Monday announced the arrest of a man they say shot at his children's mother, set a fire in her Bronx apartment and then took off with their kids.
Investigators say Fitz Edwards, 29, faces multiple charges including robbery, assault, arson and reckless endangerment.
Police say the Edwards took his 5-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter from their Ollinville home early Sunday morning.
Investigators say Edwards then carjacked a driver at gunpoint and drove off.
The vehicle was found abandoned in Manhattan with the kids safe inside.
