The only Department of Motor Vehicles office on Staten Island will reopen Tuesday.
The DMV has been closed since Hurricane Sandy hit.
Locals looking to pay traffic tickets and return plates from cars destroyed by the storm were showing up to the closed DMV in Travis.
Cleaners were seen working inside the store to repair the flood damage the building sustained.
A spokesman for the agency says while the plan is to reopen Tuesday, customers should check its website before going there. That address is dmv.ny.gov.
