Driver Charged In Connection With Fatal Accident That Killed 4 Queens Teens

Long Island prosecutors announced Friday that a Queens teenager will face multiple felony charges in connection with a car accident that killed four other Queens teenagers.
The Nassau County District Attorney's office alleges that Joseph Beer, 17, was high when he lost control of his SUV, killing four of his friends.
Investigators say Beer, a South Richmond Hill resident, tested positive for marijuana right after the October 8 crash.
He faces several charges, including aggravated vehicular homicide, vehicular manslaughter and reckless endangerment.
Nassau County prosecutors say Beer only had a learner's permit and was driving over 110 miles per hour when he lost control of the car, crashing into a wooded area.
Neal Rajapa, 17, Christopher Kahn, 18, Peter Kanhai, 18 and Darian Ramnarine, 18, were thrown from the car and killed.
Beer, who was the sole survivor, faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
His parents were also charged with allowing their son to drive without a license. They each face up to 15 days in jail and a fine if convicted.
