Macy's and the city are looking to give families who have been struggling in the aftermath of Sandy a little joy next week.
About 5,000 New Yorkers from the hardest hit areas are being invited to attend the Thanksgiving Day Parade.
And they won't have to fight for a spot on the crowded sidewalks, they'll have bleacher seats.
Macy's will also provide transportation to and from the parade.
Local officials will be distributing the tickets.
