A Staten Island restaurant has served as a command center for some crews trying to restore power in the area.

About 40 Power Survey Company workers have been using Charlie Brown's Steakhouse in Graniteville since November 9.

The group is helping Consolidated Edison manage downed power lines that pose a public safety risk.

They say their New Jersey facility was wiped out by Sandy and there hasn't been a permanent place to work from since the storm.

"They have treated us well, and as a result, the work's gotten done," said Richard Visovsky of Power Survey Company.

"We want to do the most we can, the best we can, to help our neighbors," said Robert Fasolino, the manager of Charlie Brown's Steakhouse.

The restaurant's general manager says the workers can stay for as long as they need to.
