The Statue of Liberty is shining again after nearly two weeks in the dark.
The National Park Foundation says Lady Liberty lit up around 6:30 p.m. Friday.
The temporary lights are being donated by Musco Lighting, a company that also lights up stadiums and ballparks.
Liberty Island's actual lighting systems are still being repaired from damage caused by Sandy.
The island and statue both remain closed to the public.
