A grand jury indicted a Manhattan man Wednesday in connection with the deaths of his girlfriend and their one-month daughter, who were found in a burning Bronx apartment last month.
According to the Bronx district attorney's office, Eligidio Lind, 21, is charged with repeatedly stabbing Luisa Rodriguez, 32, and inflicted blunt trauma on the head and neck of one-month-old Angela Rodriguez-Lind in their apartment in Kingsbridge on October 25.
Authorities then believe Lind set the apartment on fire.
Firefighters were battling the blaze when they found Rodriguez under a burning mattress and the unconscious baby nearby.
Lind is facing one charge of first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree murder, two counts of manslaughter and one charge of weapons possession. He could face up to life in prison.
A grand jury is still weighing a third-degree arson charge against Lind.
Lind is scheduled to be arraigned on December 7.
