The 9/11 Memorial is back open following last week's lashing from Hurricane Sandy.

Right now the number of visitors allowed in is being capped and the visitor center is still closed as clean up continues at the World Trade Center site.

Temporary hours for the memorial are set at 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The memorial fared well during the storm, but the Port Authority estimates the companion museum flooded with about 16 million gallons of water.

At least 7 feet of water has been pumped out so far.
