The non-profit organization Where-To-Turn is working to bring free storage units to Staten Islanders hit by Sandy.

The storage space is intended for those whose homes were destroyed or severely damaged in the storm.

The organization's founder, Dennis McKeon, said units are especially important with the upcoming nor'easter.

"Some of their furniture or some of the things that they don't want to get stolen or something that they may want to protect while they are rebuilding, so they don't have to store it in a friends garage," said McKeon.

Staten Islanders who would like to participate should visit where-to-turn.org.
