Broken Crane In Midtown Secured, West 57th Street To Be Reopened Soon

The crane that's been dangling near a Midtown construction site since Hurricane Sandy hit is now tethered to the side of the building, significantly reducing the risk of the boom falling off.
With the site secured, West 57th Street will soon be reopened. Surrounding buildings were evacuated after the crane broke and no one has been allowed to return yet.
