Fire and environmental protection officials are investigating a massive gasoline spill in Queens.
Fire crews were called to the Enterprise Rent-a-Car facility in East Elmhurst just before 6 a.m. Friday morning.
A stifling smell of gasoline filled the air as crews say 2,700 gallons of fuel spilled onto the street and into the sewers.
A cause is unclear at this point, but investigators are looking into a possible case of vandalism on the facility's fuel pumps.
Staff at the Enterprise are not commenting at this time.
No one was injured.
