Police are searching for a man on a bike who attacked a 92-year-old Bronx woman earlier this week.

Investigators say Wilhelmena Griffin was taking out the trash on Monday morning when a young man followed her back into her building in the Eastchester Gardens public housing complex on Burke Avenue.

Police say the man hit her on the head and body with some kind of metal object.

He ran off without stealing anything from the woman.

Although there is no picture or sketch available police say they are looking for a dark skinned man in his 20s standing 5'8" tall and weighing about 175 pounds.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
