Police are looking for a man who tried to rape a teenager inside a Queens park this past summer.

Police say sometime around 11:30 p.m. on August 21 the suspect approached a 17-year-old girl inside Peck Park in Auburndale.

They say he knocked her to the ground and tried to rape her, but she kicked him in the chest and was able to get away.

The suspect, pictured above, is described as being 40 to 50 years old, about 5'11" tall and weighing 225 pounds.

Police say he spoke with an accent they describe as Eastern European.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
