Two men are facing drug and other charges after an alleged police chase that police say left an officer with leg injuries.
The incident started Friday night on 142nd Street and Broadway in Harlem.
Police say an officer saw 37-year-old Kareem Reed approaching a car with a black bag.
When an officer went to confront him, police say he ran, as did William Coleman, who got out of the passenger seat.
Coleman was immediately arrested but police say Reed was chased for several blocks, during which an officer fell into a pothole.
Despite that, police say he was able to keep chasing Reed and radio a description. Reed was found and arrested a short time later on 135th Street.
Police say he had four ounces of marijuana.
The officer was taken to the hospital with a fractured knee and torn ACL.
Reid faces charges including marijuana possession and resisting arrest. Coleman also faces charges of possession.
