Police have released a sketch and surveillance video of a suspect in an attempted rape this past weekend in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

Investigators say the man shown in the sketch attacked a 26-year-old woman inside an apartment building laundry room.

They say he grabbed her by the neck and threw her to the ground, before trying to rape her.

The victim was able to fight him off and only suffered minor injuries.

The suspect is described as about 40 years old, 5-feet-8-inches tall and 160 to 180 pounds.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
