An man accused of shooting and killing a teenager who was trying to break up a fight in the Bronx was arraigned Wednesday on murder charges.

34-year-old Deshawn Coleman stood in front of a judge Wednesday night.

Investigators allege he shot 19-year-old Victor Maldonado in front of a building on Heath Avenue in Kingsbridge Heights Monday.

Police say Coleman has more than 20 arrests for crimes ranging from murder and attempted murder to robbery and assault.

Maldonado, who recently enlisted in the Navy, was trying to break up a fight between two girls when he was shot.

Coleman is due back in court Friday.
