The state's largest private-sector union now has a new president.
Héctor Figueroa was installed Wednesday as the new leader of 32BJ SEIU, the country's largest property services union.
He won the election to the post over the summer.
He had been serving as the union's Secretary-Treasurer since 2000.
Figueroa established the union's political action fund and helped pass legislation, including the city's Displaced Workers Act.
