Brooklyn Couple Kept Guns, Gator In Their Home, Police Say

Police arrested on Monday a husband and wife living in Gravesend, Brooklyn after they found in the couple's home two loaded hand guns, a shotgun and an alligator.

Weapons found in the Volpes' home
Officers were called Monday to the house of Michael Volpe, 32, and Alisa Volpe, 25, on West 6th Street, where they found the weapons and reptile, along with prescription pills and marijuana.

The Volpes are both under arrest for criminal possession of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance and keeping an animal prohibited by the city.

Animal Care and Control is currently taking care of the alligator.
