Commuters Prepare For Higher PATH Fares

PATH train riders will have have to pay more for their rides starting Monday morning, as the fare for a single ride paid with cash or a MetroCard is increasing by a quarter to $2.25.

Riders can still get a discount by using a PATH Smart Card, but prices for multi-day passes are also increasing.

The seven-day Smart Link pass will increase from $21 to $24.

The 30-day Smart Link pass will go up from $65 to $73.

The fare hike takes effect at 3 a.m. Monday.
