A Bronx teenager was arraigned on murder charges Thursday as gruesome details were released about the death of his mother.
Darwin Jackson, 16, pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder, manslaughter and weapons possession.
Police believe Jackson shot his mother, 34-year-old Tihesha Savage, while she was sleeping.
Court documents allege that as Savage tried to move, Jackson then began to hit her with a baseball bat.
Savage's body was found Wednesday stuffed in a plastic storage bin across the street from her apartment building on Macombs Road in Mount Eden.
Jackson is being held without bail.
