PS/IS 180 on West 120th Street in Harlem played host Saturday to the "Learn to Ride" event, sponsored by NYC DADS and Bike New York.

The focus of the day is for families, especially fathers, to connect with their kids in a fun, active and positive way.

"In New York City it's so hard to do some of the things kids across the country get to do, like ride bikes out in the open and such," said Cordell Eddings, who participated in the event. "And I think this gives kids the chance to do this sort of thing."

"I feel like I'm riding on a motorcycle," said bike rider C.J. Eddings, 6. "Because when I twist it, I start to turn and motorcycles do that."

14 city agencies, including the Human Resources Administration and Department of Education, took part in Saturday's event.
