A man turned himself in to authorities Friday, in connection with the rape of an Occupy Wall Street protestor in Manhattan this week.

Police say Jackie Barcliff, 44, seen above, saw himself on the news in connection with the case and then surrendered.

Authorities believe that Barcliff forced a 56-year-old woman up to the elevated level of the new Pier 15 Park near the East River on Monday, raped her and then threw her over the second-story railing.

The woman broke her pelvis and suffered other injuries.

She told police she recognized Barcliff from other Occupy demonstrations.

He is now charged with attempted murder, rape and a criminal sex act.

Police also say their investigation led them to also charge Barcliff with the rape of a 14-year-old girl in Midtown last month.
