Police continued to investigate through Friday the circumstances behind the stabbing of an off-duty officer inside his home in Jamaica, Queens.

Rishi Gobin, 34, suffered a stab wound to the right side of his body around 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators are looking for at least one suspect, but law enforcement sources say they are looking into other possibilities, including whether the incident was a domestic dispute.

They say police are investigating whether Gobin got into a fight with his wife or someone romantically linked to her.

Sources say police are also looking into whether the officer stabbed himself.

Gobin, a five-year veteran of the NYPD, currently works out of the Bronx.
