A local congressman is making a push to name a Staten Island ferry boat after former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani.

In a letter to the city Department of Transportation, Congressman Michael Grimm says naming one of three new boats for Giuliani would pay tribute to the mayor who led the city through the September 11th attacks.

Grimm also credits Giuliani with raising the quality of life on Staten Island.

There's no word on whether the DOT will consider the proposal.
